What is the Global Star Hosting Official Beta Program?

We periodically open testing opportunities and look for beta testers to test our latest products or features before release and this program works in cycles.

As a beta tester, you will have access to unique opportunities to get hands-on access to products ahead of release! The beta program is an important precursor to the public release because it enables the collection and incorporation of real user feedback, ensuring the official release delivers the best experience possible.

Pick the test plan best suited to you.

There are two test plans to choose from:

1. The Always Free plan: This plan allows you to have a basic website, email  and all the standard hosting features with a name you choose for identity. For instance your domain name could be something like “myname.gsw-web.com” where myname is anything you choose. With this plan you don’t need to purchase anything, not even a domain name and it remains free as long as you want it.
2. The 3-12 plan. This plan is based on a full Shared Hosting plan the same as our Starter Plan. With this program you get one of our hosting Free for the first three months, and then continue on following that at half price for as long as you want it. You can either Purchase a new Domain name, transfer a Domain name, or use a Domain name you already own and just point our site to it.

Let’s Register for the  “Always Free’ Beta Plan

When you start the checkout process for the “Always Free” plan you have the choice of purchasing or transferring  an existing domain to us. There is a small charge for this based on what kind of domain name it is. You can search to see if a name is available or not.

To avoid paying for a Domain Name, choose the option at the bottom called “Use a subdomain from Global Star Hosting” as shown here:

After selecting your free domain name, just complete the checkout process. At the end you will need to agree to the terms and conditions and you’ll be asked for a Payment Method. Don’t worry, you’re not being charged for the plan – remember it’s “Always Free”. You will only be charged if you decide to purchase any optional features in the future, but the plan its self is free.

When you choose this plan remember you get a more advanced plan with more functionality than the Always Free plan above.

You have the choice of purchasing a new Domain name and checking it’s availability, transferring a Domain name you already own, or using a Domain you already own, but leaving it at some other registry.

If you register or transfer a Domain name, there will be a fee based on the type of Domain it is. TLD’s are all different prices. However, you will get the hosting plan for Free for the first three months by using Promo Code “Beta3-12” on the final page of the checkout. Should you decide to stay with the site after the free months, you will continue to get the plan at half price for as long as you want it. You will be billed monthly.

After activating a web hosting package you’re feedback is important to us so we can address any errors and issues.

Please use the ticketing system available in your new client area to let us know of any issues you encounter. These issues will go into our system and corrective action taken. Your communication is totally desired and we’ll do out best to correct the issue as soon as possible.

Upon completion of the three months, you may cancel with absolutely no fees or charges, or continue on as long as you like with a 50% discount off our regular price. You’ll be billed at this low rate monthly.

What to do After Selecting your Beta Program

During the checkout process, you’ll see a number of optional addons such as SSL certificates and so on. You do not need to buy SSL certificates as we will provide you with free SSL services. Some of the optional addons are free, others will have a charge. If you choose a paid addon, please understand that is not covered by our beta program so you will be charged for it.

After selecting your web hosting package and completing the registration you will get an email with all the access information to your new account including your new Client area and most importantly access to your cPanel interface – the master control of your site and it’s various features.

Getting started with your new Beta Test hosting platform.

Accessing your new Client area:

All of your support, billing and other account information is accessed in your client area at clients.globalstarhosting.com

You can also access your website while inside your client area.

Should you encounter problems during your testing, please enter your client area and on the top menu bar select “Open Ticket”.

Now it’s time for the fun part – let’s get your new WebSite up and running.

You have a few options where you can either build a whole new website or migrate one in from somewhere else such as another host, or your own computer.

To Build a New Web Site you can:

1. Build it with our AI Website builder. You can design the site for free by selecting that option in your client area if you didn’t already select it during your checkout process. Please understand to deploy a site built with the AI builder there is a charge above and beyond the basic hosting covered by the Beta Program.
2. Install WordPress for free and start a new site with the world’s most popular website management program – all for free.
3. Build a site of using your own code
